I got the chance to work with Hyundai Europe on a unique hand-painted version of their New Tucson N Line. They asked me to create a truly eye-catching design that turns the Tucson N Line into a real statement, while emphasizing the car's new features.
It is inspired by Hyundai N's heritage and takes many cues from motorsport. So there are references to corners, chicanes, curbs and chequered flags, as well as to the livery of Hyundai's i20 Coupe WRC and i30 N TCR models.
The base color of the artwork is Engine Red, mixed with the N Line color palette of black, white, red and light blue. I wanted to highlight key aspects of the model, such as its aggressive and sporty front, the new grille design, refined daytime running lights and new black-bezel headlamps.

I also had to draw attention to the car's glossy black accents on the side mirrors and rear spoiler, as well as the dark alloy wheels and N Line badge.

After designing the main layout using Adobe Photoshop Sketch, I transferred the work onto the car by hand using spray paint, acrylics and some tape. All in all, it took me around 72 hours of painting.
